Dominant Domaine Leroy For Investment: + 81.52 % YTD And A Ranking As The World's Best

When 89-year-old Madame Leroy retires, so will her magical wines. Now you can secure investment in wines from the Queen's own hand

Domaine Leroy: “The Most Powerful Wine Brand In The World”

Leroy, Leroy, Leroy... If the Queen of Burgundy should be crowned with words, it would result in a thick novel filled with fantastic descriptions and narratives of a woman with wine in her veins and quality in every graceful movement.

In January 2021, the British wine exchange Liv-ex released their 2020 power 100 list, and Domaine Leroy deservedly made it to the 1st place.

We have said it before. There are none above and only a very few beside Madame Lalou Bize-Leroy, the woman behind some of the world's most exclusive wines, and for that reason, she deservedly holds the title of the Queen of Burgundy - the most powerful woman in the wondrous world of wine.

Now you have one of those rare opportunities to invest in the Queen's wines.

A Cynical Queen With Biodynamic Leanings Created Domaine Leroy

In 1988, Lalou Bize-Leroy acquired her first vineyards in Burgundy and founded Domaine Leroy. She did so on the basis of biodynamic cultivation, which she still practices and preaches today.

Her biodynamic principles made the other producers shake their heads, but as we all know, the last to laugh is the best. In 1993, mildew ravaged and destroyed much of Leroy's yield because her principles did not allow her to spray. When the vintage hit the market, it received massive acclaim for its outstanding quality.

She has not looked back since, and her cynicism, perfectionism and consummate diligence are the reasons why Domaine Leroy has taken the throne.

+81,52 %: Domaine Leroy Gives Incredible Returns

At RareWine Invest, we like Leroy for the very obvious reasons outlined above. This only validates the potential we have seen and continue to see in the wines of Leroy. The main reason? The brand and demand are nothing short of massive.

Across all Leroy managed by RareWine Invest, there has been a YTD return of 81.52%.

There may be several reasons for this. On the one hand, the ranking on Liv-ex's power 100 2020 list has fuelled the fire. And secondly, a gigantic demand for very small quantities of Leroy has obviously pushed the prices up.

The 1st place on Liv-ex's list can have a self-reinforcing effect, as the list is based on both the value and volume of the wines traded. And with increased focus on Leroy following a 1st place, it is hard to imagine that Leroy will not once again be found in the very top of the list – probably with even more interest as a result.

Leroy wines under the management of RareWine Invest has seen an average annual return of 22.23% over the past four years.

Lalou Lives And Breathes For Her Profession

In 2022, Leroy turns a sharp corner and can invite to her 90th birthday. There is no sign of her retiring from her work, even though she has created the very best conditions for her beloved vineyards.

The wines of Domaine Leroy have seen skyrocketing prices over the past 10 years, and there is already speculation that there may come a time where Leroy retires and enjoys her much-deserved retirement. At that time, the world's wine lovers will be left with a distinction between the pre-Leroys and the post-Leroys that will have an undeniable impact on the prices of the wines she herself has produced.

There is still a chance to get your hands on wines from Domanie Leroy, in which Madame Leroy herself has been in charge - but there will come a day where the baton goes on, and wines by THAT Leroy never will be produced again.

For this reason, we have a high recommendation on all wines of Madame Leroy.

RareWine Invest's Opinion

We cannot and will not deny that investment in Domaine Leroy has been extremely lucrative and continues to carry enormous potential. Domaine Leroy is the ultimate in the world of wine, and we can only recommend investing in the wines that Leroy herself has poured her love, cynicism, perfectionism, and magic into. Before we know it, the Queen will retire and have bottled her very last bottle - Domaine Leroy will undeniably live on as one of the strongest brands in the wine world, but for wine lovers, there will be a difference between before and after Leroy.

No matter which vineyard or classification Leroy works with, she manages to create amazing wines. And it only takes a brief glance at past returns of Leroy to see that her magical wines are in demand.

Since Domaine Leroy emphasizes quality, it also means that quantities are limited. Gigantic demand, minimal supply and massive returns are the three best arguments for investment.

In every way a classic Burgundy case and then not at all. Domaine Leroy is in a class of its own.

All cases are sold on a first-come, first-served basis.
