Available For Investment: Assortments Etc. From The Mighty Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

La Tache, Corton, Duvault-Blochet and several perfect assortments from the world's most prestigious and mythical Burgundy producer

The Wines Everyone Knows, But Only A Few Have Tasted

Looking back over the past 30-40 years, there is no doubt: Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is the greatest, most famous, and most prestigious wine producer in the world. Competitors have claimed the throne from time to time, and while names such as Domaine Leroy and Domaine Armand Rousseau are indeed top tier producers, there is simply nothing that beats Domaine de la Romanée-Conti.

The wines of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are extremely in demand and in combination with a very limited production across the product portfolio, this creates an imbalance between supply and demand that historically has only been answered by increasing prices - and seen in a historical perspective, the wines of Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are some of the wines that have increased the most.

At the same time, the wines are strictly allocated by the producer, so national distributors, as an example, only get a few bottles of the flagship wine Romanée-Conti allocated on an annual basis. This only further underlines how difficult it is to obtain these wines - even if you are a happy, paying customer, with money to spend.

The wines from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti are the ones everyone wants, but few can obtain.

The ones everyone knows, but only a few have tasted.

Now you can ensure the opportunity to offer some lucky wine lovers just that in the future.

We now have the pleasure of offering several perfect assortments as well as whole cases of La Tache, Corton and Cuvée Duvault-Blochet, which you can learn more about below.

Note: Everything is sold on a first-come, first-served basis.

Returns Across Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

There has been a tendency over the past many years for the highest returns to be found among the best, most expensive and rarest wines. In this perspective, Domaine de la Romanée-Conti is certainly no exception.

The following gives an overview of how the different wines offered in this investment tip have performed in an overall perspective.

To give a representative picture of the price development across the wines that are available here, you get the average return and the average annual return over the last five years, across the latest 10 vintages of each wine that has been on the market for a minimum of five years.

Source: Liv-ex. Vintages: 2005-2014 Note: The first Corton was released in 2009, so there are only six vintages here that have been on the market for at least five years. Duvault-Blochet is only released in great vintages and therefore only the following seven are included: 2011, 2009, 2008, 2006, 2004, 2002, 1999

Available For Investment:

2002 DRC Vosne-Romanée Duvault-Blochet

In the 1930s, DRC released wine from younger grapes and the domain's second harvest in the good vintages - grapes that were not included in the primary wines and were usually just sold off to negociants, but in these vintages were considered too good to sell. The wines were labelled Cuvée Duvault-Blochet, named after the man who acquired the domain in 1879.

However, this tradition was taken up again from the outstanding 1999 vintage and has since been produced in the good vintages. Due to the character of the wine, the DRC has declassified it and therefore it has "only" the status of Premier Cru. But make no mistake - Cuvée Duvault-Blochet is a blend of grapes from all the DRC's red Grand Cru vineyards*, which is reflected in price, demand and, not least, historical returns.

Romanée-Conti La Tache

DRC La Tache

La Tache is the epitome of finesse from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti. La Tache is located in Vosne-Romanée and is, along with La Romanée-Conti, something as exclusive as a Grand Cru monopole vineyard - that is, a vineyard with only one owner, which of course in itself has created enormous prestige worldwide.

La Tache is widely recognised as the most elegant of the seven great Grand Cru wines from the DRC, which is why many winemakers actually prefer it, even over some of the DRC's considerably more expensive wines.

2011 DRC Corton

Corton is the only red Grand Cru produced by DRC in the Cote de Beaune. Aubert de Villaine, co-owner of DRC, has shown in a few years (the first vintage was 2009) how great red Corton can be. They work with a parcel of 2.3 hectares and, as with the rest of DRC's product portfolio, Corton is also characterised by high quality and production that does not match demand.

Available For Investment:

2011 DRC Corton Rouge
BH: 92 WA: 93 VI: 93
Total production: 5.523
OWC3 - 0,75L.

Invest in assortments from Domaine de la Romanée-Conti

Various DRC Assortments

Assortments from DRC can be described as the ultimate tastings cases. Here you have the opportunity to acquire whole and perfect cases, made up of various of the domain's great wines.

Historically, there have been many different combinations of these assortments, so there is no "right" or "classic" assortment as such.

Assortments offer the investor a unique opportunity to buy into the case of more than just one DRC wine at a time, and at the same time have them assembled in one perfect case - cases that due to their character and mixed content have an extremely broad appeal to both private wine connoisseurs and lovers, as well as the professional merchants of the wine world - something that speaks in favour of the investor.
