Investment: 2008 champagne – the best buys emerge in a negative market
2008 William Deutz: Legendary…
You know, it’s counterintuitive to invest when the market is (temporarily) negative. But it’s here and now that the most interesting acquisition opportunities arise.
And such an opportunity is the 2008 Cuvée William Deutz. In addition to representing the most legendary Champagne vintage in recent times, the price has also declined by 18% since its latest peak and now sits at a very investment-attractive level.
2008 will truly be a designation that appeals to consumers seeking prestige and unparalleled quality – both now and in the future.
We have secured a small allocation of 2008 William Deutz, which we are now offering for investment.

2008 Champagne: The best vintage in recent times
Vintage Champagnes are generally only released in years when growing conditions have been exceptionally favorable. As a result, they are always in high demand among wine lovers worldwide, as they come with an expectation of quality.
But even among the best vintages, some stand out as truly extraordinary. And 2008 is one of them. According to the Wine Advocate Vintage Chart, 2008 receives a rating of 99 out of 100. Since the 1970 vintage, Wine Advocate has rated 39 Champagne vintages—and none reach the level of 2008. The closest are 1996 and 2012, both with a rating of 96.
That is how remarkable the 2008 Champagne vintage is.

The Champagne House Deutz
Since its founding in 1838, Champagne Deutz has embodied classic finesse and uncompromising quality in the heart of Aÿ. The house’s philosophy is built on precision, balance, and a deep respect for terroir – values that have guided generations and continue to define its style today.
This legacy culminated in 1961 with the introduction of Cuvée William Deutz, the house’s prestige cuvée, created as a tribute to co-founder William Deutz. Only the finest grapes from carefully selected Grand Cru and Premier Cru vineyards are used for this cuvée, which is produced exclusively in years when quality meets the house’s uncompromising standards.
A new era began in 1993 when Deutz became part of the Louis Roederer Group. This alliance has ensured financial strength while preserving the house’s independent identity – a harmonious balance between tradition, continuity, and future development.
Today, Cuvée William Deutz stands as the purest expression of the house’s expertise: a champagne crafted with patience, precision, and an uncompromising pursuit of the sublime.
