Salon 2015 was released in the summer of 2025, and as is always the case with the world’s most prestigious Champagnes, it arrived with considerable hype and demand, which inevitably created some volatility in pricing.

Salon has devoted itself to producing a single cuvée from a single cru: Le Mesnil-sur-Oger. Since the house was founded in 1905, only 45 vintages have ever been released, as Salon is produced exclusively in years where the quality permits it. Even then, production is typically limited to around 60,000 bottles.

There is no such thing as a mediocre Salon release. Salon is also ranked No. 35 on Wine-Searcher’s Top 100 Most Popular Wines & Spirits list, a ranking based on 650,000 daily searches across more than 800,000 wines.

Salon occupies a unique position: a powerful Champagne brand that simultaneously produces sublime, insider Champagne in extremely limited quantities. That is precisely where the potential lies.

As mentioned, we believe the price has now stabilised, and we are currently offering it at the lowest price in the world according to Wine-Searcher.

A historical perspective

If we want an indication of future potential, history is the first place to look.

Like Salon 2015, Salon 2002 received 96 points from Richard Juhlin, 97 points from Vinous and 95 points from Wine Advocate.

Salon 2002 was released in 2014, and over nearly ten years on the market, its average asking price increased by 422%. Since 2023, the market has been more challenging, and the average asking price has declined by 21.1%. Despite this, the average price of the 2002 vintage remains up 312% since release…

RareWine Invest’s Opinion

Richard Juhlin is right when he says that Salon is one of the greatest names in the wine world. Whether he is also right that the 2015 release will prove to be the greatest Champagne of the vintage remains to be seen, as the other major houses have yet to release their prestige cuvées. That uncertainty, naturally, only adds to the potential upside.

Regardless of the upside, this is your opportunity to get in at the very start with one of the world’s greatest Champagnes: a strong vintage at a compelling price point, with a drinking window stretching all the way to 2050.
